Fayose reportedly involved in accident on Third Mainland Bridge
Former governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose, on Wednesday, December 5, was reportedly involved in an accident on Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos state.

According to his aide, Lere Olayinka, the former governor's condition is currently stable and he has received medical attention.
Olayinka disclosed the news on Twitter: *"Immediate past Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Ayodele Fayose was involved in auto accident on 3rd Mainland Bridge in Lagos few minutes ago. He is in stable condition as I write while he is receiving medical attention".*
The former Ekiti state governor is currently being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) alongside his company, Spotless Investment Ltd, on an 11-count charge of N30.8 billion fraud.
The charges include receiving illegal monies to fund his 2014 governorship campaign in Ekiti state and benefitting from proceeds of money laundering. Fayose was arraigned before Justice Mojisola Olatoregun on 11 counts bothering on financial fraud and embezzlement.
He was, however, granted bail nine days after he submitted himself to the EFCC. The Federal High Court, Ikoyi granted him bail on the sum of N50m. The former governor was also asked to submit his international passport to court.
